"The giving tree"

I just HAD to post about this book as it was my all time favorite book when I was a little girl!

Terri and I went to Lakshore today and I saw it there and it just brought back so many memories... It's such a sweet, sweet story and I loved trees so it was perfect!

I ended up memorizing it because I read it so much and would quote it to my dear brother Daniel who had to listen because daddy told him to be nice to his little sister. :P
I would sleep with it, take it to school, take it out while shopping, out to Chucky Cheese and everything. Don't ask me what happened to it though as I don't remember. Maybe it was just so hard on me that I decided to block it's disappearance out of my memory. Maybe my dad thought it best to get rid of it out of concern for me and my ever growing attachment to the book.

Anywho, I decided that I'm going to buy it for the boys. I would've gotten it already but didn't have enough cash on me. Oh well. It shall be mine again!!!

Smart phones

I never new that phones had the ability to hide, jump and fly! My God! What is this world coming to?!

Read carefully... and be warned! They're smarter then they appear.

Phone #1. Decided to sneak away and hide while I was preoccupied with putting the kids in the car and trying to convince them to not give up on life, that it was all going to be okay. Little did the phone know that his life was nearing it's end.

Phone #2 when in a hurry and racing to the car with a kid in each arm decided that it was the optimum time for escape being that I was distracted with carrying the kids and having them "communicate" with each other using my ears as the phone line. That darn phone jumped right out of my pocket!

Phone # 3 When I was carrying Aidan, trying to cook and also use the phone for it's purpose decided that it wanted to change careers and become a bird and attempted to fly. ...Then it flew-flew right into the sink. Yes, phones can fly apparently. Well, kinda :D

I would laugh but I just feel like crying. I blame it on my kids and the phones for not informing me of their hidden talents. But it comforts me to know that it's NOT my fault. They are evolving into the supreme species.
